Ok here goes. Umm I'm totally new to rp in the sense that I haven't ever actually done any in game rather than just writing out ideas and stories I really wanted to do but could never find ppl to do them with. Add that on top of being someone who is absolutely terrified of talking to ppl (irk and online) and you get the nervous wreck who is so nervous that auto correct had to spell "get" for him. Still I wanted to give this a shot so if anyone would shoot me an invite to rp sometime I'd really appreciate itÂ Cry

In all seriousness, always glad to see new faces try out roleplay. There are plenty of people I know in your position who are just as shy and don't know how to go about it. In the end, all you have to know is there's no true way to roleplay wrong so long as you're having fun! If you're 100% fresh/new to roleplay in general, this might be a handy link.

You're usually always welcome to watch others out of character(OOC) in game as well or feel free to browse some of the wiki's and posts of roleplay here to get a feel for it all. Welcome to the RPC! I had a very familiar start, having no RP experience except for the funny little stories I would come up with for my character. Then I found out that MMO RP was a thing and came here. Been RPing for 3 years since. Big Grin

The main RP server Balmung is unfortunately closed at the moment, but there are several servers like Mateus, Faerie, Jenova etc. that have smaller communities to dabble in. I think even Goblin has some RP I believe? Anyways, plenty of the stuff to be found, good luck in your search for RP! o/

Yeah whenever I get any kind of situation figured out I'll probably move my main to Mateus. I've seen it's basically the second to Balmung.

Try not to stress out too much (I know it's hard sometimes ^^) because we were all in that boat at one time or another. Everyone here was at a point when they didn't know squat about roleplaying, and that's perfectly okay!

When you feel comfortable enough, and have a character etc there's the fantastic Making Connections forum where you can post to get you started. If you end up on Mateus I believe they have a site too, or a discord server at the very least. From what I have heard, everyone is very welcoming over there too.

Have fun with all your RP adventures!

Best of luck over on Mateus- I imagine you can visit the Quicksand there too and be able to watch other people RP until you're ready to jump into it fully yourself.
