II. RP Style
- Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):
I would consider myself a light to maybe medium roleplayer. I'm not in-character all the time, but I don't mind jumping in if I bump into another roleplayer or a friend I know. I'm rather new to roleplaying, since this is the first time I've been actively engaged with other people and events in the RP community.
- Views on RP combat and injuries:
I don't mind taking a few hits, maybe getting a battle-scar or two as long as the combat and story is engrossing. I would prefer roleplaying combat to not have any long-term negative effects on my character, since I do like logging in and having all my limbs intact.
- Views on IC romance:
I may be interested in an in-character romance storyline someday, but I haven't had much experience in this area. I think it would be kind of fun, but it is important to trust that everyone involved can handle this type of roleplay at a mature level.
- Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):
I'm still working on my character's backstory, so for now I'll have to decline any requests for family ties. I may have something open in the future depending on how my story turns out.
- Views on lore:
I'll stick to the lore as best as I can, but I don't mind if others go outside the boundaries. I think of lore as sort of guidelines to follow when possible, but it shouldn't hinder your ability to be creative.
- Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc):
It really depends on who I'm with how I craft my messages in /say and /party. I tend to be in-character with linkshell chat unless it's intended to be OOC or I'm speaking with ((brackets)). I make liberal use of the in-game emote system, since I really like the animations, and I use /em whenever I want to convey something with a little extra enthusiasm. My /tell messages can go either way, but with roleplayers I try to remain courteous by using ((brackets)) for OOC chat, just in case.
