We have confirmed an issue with the â€œFINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward (Add-On)â€ download for the PlayStationÂ®3 and PlayStationÂ®4 systems wherein the downloaded content causes FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn to fail at the version check, resulting in the game not starting.
* This is the data that is downloaded when a customer enters their 12-digit pre-purchase code in the PlayStationÂ® Store.

If you have pre-purchased FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward for either PlayStationÂ®3 or PlayStationÂ®4, please refrain from redeeming the 12-digit pre-purchase code at this time. If you have already done so and have encountered the issue, please completely uninstall FINAL FANTASY XIV from your system, then re-download and re-install FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn only. Please be sure that the Heavensward add-on is not checked when you re-download the game.

The issue is currently being investigated so that a fix can be implemented as soon as possible.

It has been confirmed that this issue only affects downloads from the European region PlayStationÂ®Store. Currently in the North America region, product codes cannot yet be registered, and is therefore not affected by this issue.

I wish they would get the digital pre-order up sometime soon. Am ready buy for three people in my home and can't yet.

For future reference, this thread really is not the place for this discussion. I just want our EU PS3 and PS4 players to know that using the codes right now may cause issues. No need to talk about what other content is or is not available.
