Hey all! So one of the things I love with Flynt is training RP, going on IC runs, work outs and so on. I also love the various dynamics that can develop from a student/teacher relationship and the friendship or even rivalry that spawns from it. So! With Flynt I have been having him train long and hard, and grow a lot from it while occasionally showing new folks some tips and so on where he can, but I think he's come to the point where he cannot learn more until he begins taking someone new to spearmanship and starts a journey with them to become a skilled Lancer. A couple key points that might help direct anyone (if interested) are below!
- I am looking for someone who is newer to combat in general. Not that someone who knows how to fight with another weapon/style will be turned away, but I have found someone at a more novice level of skill is easier to RP with for a longer time frame/develop upon. Which goes to my next point...
- I would like this to span quite some time! Just like any other martial form, it isn't something that you can learn in just a few days/weeks. For me, I've felt like I "earned" my characters skill and abilities after training for a longer time, and want to pass that on to someone new as well.
- I am usually on in the afternoons and live in an EST timezone, so while other times can work, I don't want to keep people up to late or make it hard for them to work with me (though I am sure we can work it out if we talk ahead of time!)
- While Flynt is ICly a Dragoon, it's something he's very wary to discuss and less likely to be willing to teach someone about unless he really thought it was something they could both do/were fit for. So if that is something you would be interested in it would likely be quite a bit of time till we got there, and dependent upon the character and how they've grown.
