Hello, I'm having issues finding a good lore friendly name for an Au'ra and a good server to join for roleplaying. Can't really ever get on at a good time to join Gilgamesh or Belmont. I'm trying to make a Raen with the first name meaning something such as Waterlily or rainy fall (Female ps). Also a last name that would suit a daughter of priest, healers or (future tense if ever) Blue mages.

Hiya! You might find this thread on Au Ra naming assistance useful.

Raen Au Ra typically use more archaic Japanese words, as the modern stuff wouldn't have existed then. I would use an English<->Japanese dictionary to look up words you like, and then try to see if they might have had an older term.

Balmung and Gilgamesh, while perhaps the two servers with the biggest RP populations, are not the only ones. There's a growing community on Siren that I'm aware of, and there are some people elsewhere. ...but if you're looking for the large, immersive, community, trying to get onto Balmung may be your best bet once server transfers are allowed again. I haven't heard of any other servers being particularly.....walk-up friendly. Balmung is also the most densely populated. (One trick some people have done is that paying for a transfer means you can bring up to 8 characters over, which is the max, as long as they all go from one server to another. It would be silly to spend the $18 for one character, but seems more worth it to bring 3-5, even if the 2-4 are just placeholders).

Okay thanks do you know any others outside of Siren? Also ps would this be a lore friendly name? "Hanakawa Suzuki"

Here's the list of active Linkshells we have for other servers. (This is only a sample, as there are many communities without a presence on the RPC.)

As for that name, my Japanese etymology is pretty terrible, but it looks to check out. If introducing in a Doman/Raen fashion, you'd use "Suziki no Hanakawa", as they use [family name] no [given name].

Since Eorzea followed more "Western" naming conventions, however, [given name] [family name] is how you'd type it in on the character creator. Smile

Just throwing out a heads up, but you can actually get on Gilgamesh pretty easy in the early mornings. Only Balmung has more roleplayers since it should still be a goo server for RP. Better then Siren/Jenova
