Last week's History class was a field trip to the Gelmorran crypts of the Tam-Tara Deepcroft, where the presence of the army of mages lent aether in abundance to an awaken Bones. A monster who almost swallowed Professor Ayame's head before it was felled by Headmaster Jax!

During the week Professor Pious, along with magic students Iona and Lucy journeyed to the ruins of the Temple of Quarn, in hopes of performing residual aetheric meditation, through which the energy-cursed Nerante could overcome his negative self, Nega-Nerante (giggles) and finally wield... the Darkside!

Today was absolutely fantabulosey! Our field trip was to the Coerthas Highlands, the land of origin of the Starlight Celebrations. In this lesson we learnt of the Saint of Nymeia and his Little Helpers. Of course being history, we also learnt the origins to the myth of the snowy-bearded Ishgardian knight captain and the Starlight orphans who's suffering did move him and his knights to offer the children aid, food and shelter.
We've cut down our own fir tree, and adorned it with decorations, ready for letters to the Saint of the Spinner! Other students played snowball fights and built a decorative snowman in recognition of the Ala Mhigan's traditions of Father Frost! Sunflower's Blossom (Tumblr link)

Thrown into the deepend with this one! After a strenuous (according to students) warmup - Magic tutor Miss Larioux assigned students to a most challenging and dangerous task of investigating and clearing some ruins deep within Central Shroud to test their battle skills in a real fight against real monsters!
Fortunately for the students and for the academys reputation and vague safety policies - The students came out the other side mostly unscathed. Go Team Ashen! |
