Xaela Backstory Question!

Now, I've been trying to flesh this character's backstory out for a little while now..I've even asked some other people of their input and they were a bit stumped. So here's the question: Would it be possible for a Xaela child to live within Doma? As in living and growing up with a Doman family before the whole Garlean drama? Being my little lizard lady is in the Tumet tribe, I had originally planned that she 'failed' her trial by getting lost while returning to her tribe - eventually resulting in her being taken in and raised to adulthood by a more civilized Doman family before being shipped off to Eorzea. I just wanted to know if it was possible. I thought it would be...a bit boring to just stick with the tribe the whole time. I'm also open to other suggestions, as well. Thank you! You're using a tribe that COULD have something like that happen, and there's probably some interesting stories to tell of a Xaela kid getting used to life in Doma.
