Hey everyone. How's the withdrawls/anticipation?
Survey Form New Accurate, Expanded Results Anyway, if any of you remember the survey I posted a few days ago, it's garnered about 6,000 responses now. Well, as promised, I was able to recreate the results, while still keeping it tied to the survey form. You will all be able to see the results updated in real time, with some expanded statistics such as male vs female healers, and individual stats for the top four servers. Additionally, you as a community will be able to view each individual result, download and play w/ the spreadsheet if you'd like, and comment/help me police for bogus results. Big thanks to /u/novapunkX for the help in bringing the formulas into Google. You'll notice it's just text stats and percentages, as google documents slowed to a crawl once I started adding graphical charts. So, no graphical charts, but the statistics are still really fun. Thanks! Hope you enjoy! |

Fun to look at these results. ^^ It's a good thing I'm not letting the number of people playing a race bother me in my own decision though, haha.
The server breakdown worries and bothers me. :/ I wish people could just converge on just one non-legacy server instead of kicking themselves in the gut. Balmung with 45% RPers. Tasteh. I hope I run into all you people!
With polls like this we have to remember the audience too. This was from reddit (which I believe Reddit chose as their server? notice the number of votes for Gilga..), and advertised around. So there's still a lot of missing player votes! |

Don't care if a person is  from Reddit, 4chan, Tumblr or the goddamned moon made out of green cheese or Santa's Workshop, it could be wherever. You like rp, well here's a pearl and lets go do some rping. Go roleplayers! A good FFXIV lore site: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Eorzea

This is true. Something Awful is going to Excalibur and there is like... 500 or so of them? And Excalibur only has 300-something votes. It's a bit skewed for now, but get the poll to more places and you'll see more accurate results.

Holy. According to this 1 out of every 3 players is a cat.
I mean, I knew there were a lot of Miqo'te, but I didn't think they were a third of the population. I could've sworn I ran into more Roegadyn than this survey is saying, but now that I think about it, they could just be standing out in my mind more against the backdrop of never ending waves of kittehs. |

Female Highanders have some of the best models in the game, shame there is so few of them.

As much as I realize I'm part of the problem playing a female Seeker of the Sun , my character's solid enough that I wouldn't want to change her now.
In terms of server choice, hey, Balmung is still a great home for RP, it seems. A relatively lower population doesn't bug me, especially with the duty finder in play. It might be a bit tougher to find RP dungeon groups, but the concentrated level of RP will make up for that, IMO. The Freelance Wizard

Hey folks,
Still playing with the survey data. Here's some charts created by redditor /u/arthmgck from the most recent data dump, where I removed all of the obvious bogus submissions prior to him charting out the data. Survey Results Hope you all enjoy. As you'll see - much more accurate representation of the data (60/40 male/female split, fewer miqote, fewer scholars). Take care! |
