So... after we did Tam-tara tonight (which was a blast), I noted that the weather in Gridania was all blue and foggy with... stuff in the air. Then someone noted and then discovered that Odin was about.

I haven't been this happy about getting one-shotted by a legendary mob in I dont know how long lol. The attackers had him SO close to going down too... then BAM!! Everyones scattered on the ground like discarded toys.

So much fun... and then the nerdgasming started. xD

Anyway, good night and happy Labour Day. Big Grin

I've never seen him before. This game is still full of mysteries.

Apparently he popped up on a lot of servers. All ending in the same fashion, he was nearly or close to dead, but he just decided he was bored and killed everyone in a flashy display before vanishing. Players are wondering if they should have /kneel in order to avoid instant death like they used to.

It highlighted an annoyance since Odin, despite his importance and power, isn't a priority render in comparison to dozens upon dozens of players. Causing him to go invisible if someone was to move too far away from him.

There was a timer on the FATE. If you did not kill him before that timer was up, then yes, he killed everyone. Unfortunately that's what happened to us on Balmung! But there were other servers that managed to kill him before the timer was up.

This did highlight render issues and I'm sure now that they've been noticed SE will be looking into implementing something to fix it.
