I'm not good at introductions, or any form of public speaking... or speaking in general (something shared between IC and OOC), but I figure I should maybe say something here as it feels odd to be a part of a Forum (and now WikiÂ [Feel free to send question, critiques, and comments via PMs]) without saying a word.Â

I've been role-playing since grade school, which naturally lead me into the life of an avid pen and paper gamer as a teen. With the advent of the internet I started role-playing in MUDs with the help of my 28.8k modem (the sounds of it connecting still haunt my dreams). From here it was a pretty simple step to make into the world of MMOs. My first MMO experience was within Britannia (Ultima Online for the uninitiated) and I've been rather addicted to the genre ever since (which may seem odd due to me social habits, or lack there of).

While I was not initially a part of the servers that are currently host to those who role-play within Final Fantasy XIV (I started on Siren), I decided to change servers in hopes that some role-play might help keep my interest in the game and give me something to do other than kill things (not to say I don't enjoy killing things a lot). Â I now am a part of the Balmung server, but my time here has been somewhat limited.

Though my history with role-playing is rather rich, I've not actually participated in much of it lately. As a result, I feel as though I may be a little rusty. I'm very interested in free-flowing role-play that doesn't require much scripting or forethought, though creating larger arcs and stories with those I get to know and feel comfortable with is definitely an option. I am currently not interested in joining a free-company (very much a Maverick, as the name implies), but I would be interested in joining role-play Linkshells within game.

Currently I am working for a small video game publisher, so my schedule is quite erratic. At times I can be either completely free or completely swamped with work. That being said, I can do my best to make time for for role playing (though I make no promises). If you see me in-world, feel free to say hello.

Another MUDder!

There are quite a few here. I use to play on one full role play one called Achaea. I know that company had a few of the same style but I never got off their original world.

And that sound, I use to try to cover it up with a pillow on the back of my computer. Why did it have to make that sound, geez.

The Linkshells tab has a lot of Free Companies but also quite a few open linkshells for role play connections that are either regional or by profession, per say.

Also the connections forum is good and even if your time is erratic forum role play is pretty fun too!

Sally Dal... Weren't you always dancing in the Shaded Bower in front of the Retainer Vocate's desk? It's been at least a few weeks, maybe close to a month since I was on Siren, so details are a little sketchy.

I still frequent Gridania since my GC is there, but I'm also in and around Limsa at times. I've noticed that a lot of people hang out in Ul'dah, so I can sometimes be found around there. I mostly idle while queuing for things (DPS queues, the struggle is real), but I have two monitors so I tend to check to see what's going on in game from time to time. Generally, if you see me in game I'm more or less there and not busy.

Oh, no no no, I ain't Sally Dal! But at least you remembered her! Good to know there's a former Siren player in Balmung now. (Now we can gossip about peeps there and cry on how mean they were with Hunts!!)

If you saw a red-headed hyur doning a summoner coat with <<CURSE>> as her FC tag.. That was me. I'm always hanging around by the Bower but now I'm hiding in Mist on my lawn. :3 BUT YAY FOR SIREN PLAYERS??

Oh, ok, might have seen you around then, I didn't really do much socializing on Siren outside of the two FCs I was on since most the people there were, as you said, pretty rude.

Shy isn't quite the word I'd use to describe myself, I'd go more with anti-social or possibly misanthropic Tongue
