I got a message from someone earlier who didn't know how to get a hold of anyone who said that they tried to sign up but there was no verification image for them. Just a heads up.

Yea a friend of mine was trying to apply earlier as well, and encountered the same issue.

Yep, I can definitely replicate it. I'll turn on some debugging settings and dig into it tomorrow, then post here when it's all good again.

Registration should now be fixed. I needed to install the GD2 library, since someone (*cough*MyBB*cough*) doesn't like to use ImageMagick. I'd completely forgotten that we had an actual image CAPTCHA turned on, since it really doesn't help much with spambots.

When logging into the Wiki section this morning, I had to log in -twice- before it registered I was actually logged in. As in, I entered my account and logged in but still couldn't edit the page. I had to go do it again before my account name appeared at the top of the page. All was right in the world after that.

That's not a new issue, oddly enough.

I've been having a slightly different issue with wiki editing actually. When I go to edit Xheja's wiki and try to switch the editor over to Rich Text Format, the editing box disappears. Trying to switch back to wiki editor after that doesn't work either, not until I refresh the page. Not sure if that's an issue with the migration or myself though since my computer has been acting a little funny lately and I can't check on my work computer. ;;

I think it may be related to the migration, actually. We jumped PHP versions at the same time (from 5.3 to 5.4), and I think that extension -- which is no longer maintained -- may be incompatible. It's apparently quite finicky about the combination of MediaWiki and PHP versions. I can't even get the option to turn it on any more when I go to edit a page. I'll look into it, but since the extension is no longer maintained, I make no guarantees that I'll be able to get it running again.
However, once the MediaWiki people stop messing with VisualEditor in their special magic wmf patches to beta versions (seriously, "only works on 1.24wmf6?"), I'll install it instead. It gives a much nicer editing interface that's WYSIWYG and is actively supported. The Freelance Wizard

I've upgraded our wiki to 1.23.2 and moved it to a new URL (though through the magic of URL rewrites, old links still work). I'm aware of the issue with the recent changes, special pages, random page, and help links, and I'm working on that right now.
You may find that you have difficulties logging in because of the URL shift. If so, try clearing your cache and your cookies, especially for ffxiv-roleplayers.com. EDIT: Fixed the issue. The problem is that our skin is basically bound to MW 1.20, so the upgrade broke some of its code. A lot of the code its base skin (Monaco) relied upon was deprecated in 1.18, so ultimately, we need to make a new skin. Then again, I was meaning to do that anyway... The Freelance Wizard
