Hello everyone!

I've been trying to get into Balmung for days and no-go. Any advice or times in which I should make my character? Also, is the Gilgamesh community still alive and ticking? I'm just looking for any RP server, really. The problem is.. they're all full up and I can never make a character on there!

Balmung and Gilgamesh are the two "big boys" for RP, yes - though there's other, smaller RP groups coming together on other servers like... Faerie and Jenova, I believe. However, with the new expansion and all the returning and new players, it's rather difficult to get onto Bal or Greg even using the usual methods (just before/after Tuesday maintenance or early in the morning). So, joining one of the growing RP groups on less the less populous servers is definitely an option.

Alternately, there's the transfer method. As long as the character has been around for at least three days, you can pay for a transfer at.... $18, I believe it is? This transfer lets you move as many characters as you want from one server to another. So, you could make one character and transfer it to Balmung, or a full eight and bring them ALL over! The transfer bypasses the creation lock entirely, so it's definitely the easiest - although it costs money.

Yeah I was def up until 5 am last night trying to make myÂ characterÂ . or rather,Â lookingÂ for that window to make them. Do I literally need to just sit there refreshing until I get lucky if I do it that way?

If you're going that route, then unfortunately yes. Sad

I heard one of the open windows a little while back was only open for four minutes. Hopefully things will or are already starting to slow down and the windows will be more open during the "usual" times. Your best bet, then, is to have your character data saved so you can load it up quick and try during those periods.

I wish you the best of luck if you stick to your guns on trying to get a character in that way, and hope to see you posting your success in the near future. Blush
