I'm Ton

I've been lurking for a bit, and I'm hoping to join Balmung as soon as the world transfer service is back up and running.

--MMORPG background:
GW2 well into end-game content and a little dabbling in WoW. It was fun but after being spoiled by FFXIV I didn't enjoy the mechanics.

--RP experience:
None, although my brother and sister are avid RPers and great cosplayers. We spent our time growing up discussing fantasy, and I'm a bit of a lore nut. Laugh

--Character ideas/info:
I have a few elements I still have to piece together. Tonton (in game name) is a name given him by his adopted family. Low-born Miqo'te with aspirations to travel and find purpose in Eorzia, and his familial origins. Influences on his life include the spiritual teachings of archery, a love of battered fish and tea, and a peculiar fondness for Limsa Lominsa (and Y'shtola, although he would never tell).

--How did you learn about the coalition?
It was linked in the lore forum on FFXIV.

--What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy?
I'm not familiar with the differences to be honest. If I had to guess, medium I suppose? Or medium-heavy? .....or light?

--Anything from real life you'Â€Â™re comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc)
I graduated with a degree in hist. and bio. and I have been working internal support and IT for just under 2 years now. I enjoy coffee, yoga, lifting, spending too much time on the computer, and harbour a fledgling love of anime, manga, and green apples.

Gah. I decided to stop being lazy and see if I could find something formal. So it looks like it's going to be from October 5th to the 20th:

I put in the application about an hour ago. When I log in my character is missing and Balmung isn't on the server list. Is this normal. Bouncy

I put in the application about an hour ago. When I log in my character is missing and Balmung isn't on the server list. Is this normal.

Uhhh, not in probably the 12 characters I've ever had transfer.

But also keep in mind, transfers have been closed off the past week or 2, so it's possible they are swamped with transfer requests right now. I'd wait awhile before getting to worried.

One of the most beautiful FC sites I've seen, and also looks well run. I get a little freaked out about application interviews and stuff, but appreciate the opportunity. Smile

Check out Pathfinders in the Linkshell tab. Awesome group of people, most always between 6-12 people online and incredibly helpful. I recently joined and haven't regretted it since.
