New to the forums but not to roleplay. So my forum name is Femgame (I go by that on the FFXIV:ARR beta forums too, and have not chosen a name for main yet or a server. Mainly because I have to many names I like to go by and because I have a husband who is not much of an rper and is currently contemplating whether or not we should in fact join and rp server with our mains.Â

However I plan on being on one of the rp servers eventually whether with my main or an alt, I just have to convince him Tongue

Â I will also be sure to come back and give the final chosen name to by, but for now, hello fellow roleplayers!

Awww Nox sorry to hear that. I am a 1.0 player and was lucky enough to have a husband who couldn't resist trying out the beta for the re-release. Now he is hooked so now it is up to me to convince him to join either Balmung or Gilgamesh.Â

If he's a big reader, show him some of the stories on the site. Maybe showing him what we do as rpers would make him want to join in? A few stories I default to (because there are tons of really good ones) are Shuck'sÂ SuperpositionsÂ and Xerek'sÂ In a Child's eyesÂ . If he's not a big reader... maybe show him around the site? Show him the possible communities. That might sway him. I know I joined because I love the community and wanted to rp.

Welcome to the forums, Femgame. As Gilgamesh and Balmung aren't official RP servers, you can just bring him along and he won't have to RP. I know there's a few Linkshells/F.C.'s on Balmung that focus on endgame stuff. If he's interested in learning about RPing, you can always have him spectate scenes/events/whatever, but you don't have to be an RPer to have fun on either server.

Oh that's right! I completely forgot that there was no official tag for rp on the servers. Will defiantly have to sneak those into the hat and see if he just so happens to pick one out of the shuffle LoLs

Welcome to the RPC! I hope you two are able to get settled on a server though playing on both is always an option as well. Smile

Either way, you're a part of the community and will have people to play with.

Oh trust me if we don't end up on one of the unofficial RP servers with our mains, he will be playing COD at some points which means I will get at least seven hours of RP in a day HA!

Thank you for the welcome Scarlet and everyone else. So far he has taken an interest in the forums, says they are really well organized and so on. One thing RP servers have going for them in his eyes; is that the community always seems top of the line, less trolling and a more stable economy. I may not have to do anything he seems to be talking himself into it more or less Tongue
