Mediterranean...tropical...well for lower/middle/western La Noscea I get the British Isles impression. White cliffs of Dover, windy...let's not forget Limsa Lominsa has some British/French colonial influences, esp. with the 'tea and crumpets' dialogue you get from the NPC guarding the Command Room. Then north you get subtropical/rainforesty...then further north you get volcanic.
