I think that if you expect people to directly join your linkshells or specifically help out, you might want to put that in your event announcement. Â Or make it a closed event. Â The way the event is worded, at least to me, sounds like you just want to have people to come and RP and participate. Â But from what you're saying here, you're upset (or at least displeased) that the people that wanted to RP and participate in the event weren't interested in actually being workers for the event, or in practicing ahead of time.
When you make something a chore, people will inevitably stop getting interested. Â And by implying that you only want people who want to be in the linkpearl/work actively at the event, or at least that you are displeased with those who do not...well, I know I would not feel welcome at such an event.
