
At least I'm not the only one that felt that way. I'd like to take some time to calm down before I say anything else, though.
Edit: I think I'm calm enough to put to words how I feel about the matter.
I think some people went to the event and immediately left to be with their own contacts as soon as they could feasibly get out of it. I can't really blame anyone for that. But it feels like I - and apparently not just me - am just being pushed aside, since we're not already involved in whatever other stories the more popular characters have already gotten themselves wrapped up in.
I'm not saying the "in" crowd has to ignore what they've got to handhold newer RPers, and I would never ask anyone to drop what they were doing just to RP with me. But maybe plots like tonight's are just too over-crowded to get any meaningful development for player characters that don't already have all these involved contacts to run off with afterwards, so maybe we should try to get in touch between event nights more (I've tried a bit, but haven't had luck) instead of having to find something else to do and get out of the way.
