C'kayah has a lot of connections in the Shroud. ICly, he lived mainly there from about age 19 (his maternal grandmother is a Polaali, which gave him an "in" to live there during the dangerous pre-Calamity years) until about a year ago. He maintains connections with various Duskwight and Moonkeeper clans there for his business, and often returns.
