I don't wholly agree with this.
Depending on the maturity levels of the players involved, ERP can definitely have it's place in the character development department.
A lot of mental and emotional barriers people keep up naturally tend to fall in that scenario and it serves an opportunity for growth in a relationship + pillow talk and whatnot.
Just my 2 cents
Not when it's awkward as you are playing an opposite gender character and then someone describes and elaborates ERP way too disturbing for readers. I'd just avoid it like plague, there are many other ways to develop relationships between characters and it does not necessarily have to be pillow fight or sleep on the bed or something more erotic than that.
Also it does not need to be brought to attention to other players.
