Maybe I'm doing it wrongChiara is publicly wealthy, though her recent friendship with some adventurers has brought her to not flaunt it with arrogance. For example, the other day she gifted them with a couple of her Draught Chocobos (she has a whole stable of them ICly and has them compete in show jumping).
Being a goldsmith in Ul'dah is a pretty easy way to get wealthy quickly (though, she was born wealthy herself).
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
