Hmm. That's interesting, and makes a degree of sense but seems almost too gentle from the baddies we've had to face. It'll be interesting to see where it develops.
Thinking about it, though, most jobs haven't really played out the way people expected them to. Barring maybe monk, black mage and arguably warrior, everything else got a new spin on lore.

Let's not forget Nael van Darnus was a madman. (Especially near the end of his days). I tihnk we could totally argue that the murder-happy White Raven wasn't the norm.
