Armi's thoughts on love are... complicated.
Armi wants to believe in the love she always read about in her favorite novels. She really likes Fairy-tales and Romance Novels - in those love is the savior of everything. It can move mountains, crush demons, make people better, and be the cure for all that ails. In those books, love is a miracle.
She desperately wants to believe love is a miracle.
As a priestess of Nymeia, many people came to her with questions of their soulmates or the people they were destined to be with - asking for advice from the ones who did the Spinners work, Listening to these people and giving them advice, she absolutely believed that if two people who were meant for each other, they would find a way to be together and have a happy ever after.
She was pretty happy to believe all of this was true for people, even if she never fell in love herself.
Then, she did and everything got muddled.
In reality, Armi found love to be complicated and messy. It was hard to sort out and sometimes it didn't work out. Or, really, most of the time it didn't work out. She's seen the dark side of love and she's terrified of it. Love can save, but it can also destroy. She's afraid that all she knows how to do is break the people she loves. Her mind is fractured, not whole from not really knowing who she is, and she's a nervous and indecisive person by nature -- she believes that how she is, there's no other option but to eventually break people. The love of her life ran from her, one man said he couldn't handle her, and the other broke under the pressure of trying to save her. Love is dark and shadowy, pretending to be light in order to get at your own shadows.
She's in love now, and it scares her what she may turn him into.
She wants to believe in the kind of love she used to before, but she's terrified it never really existed in the first place.
