Ironworks Magitek Rod get! And just need a Shonisaurus for my Of Dragons Deep title. Almost have all my pre-2.5 goals met.
Um, more fun side things to do. So this all started back in 1.0 days, but a few FC friends and I have a running gag where we'll try to get another party member killed during content. Now the rules are, you can't wipe your party and you only get points if the intended target dies. And it's a pretty hilarious game that we're pretty fond of.
A few examples:
Back in 1.0 times Cutter's Cry was an extremely difficult 8-man dungeon. So we were almost up to Chimera and there's this pull with 2 Pieste on crack that you normally slept and then booked it to the Chimera sandtrap and zoned. We had a person afk though so we were all staying put at the start of this room. But having a stroke of genius I stepped forward and aggro'd the pieste. My friends who I play this game with stepped forward like idiots (DRG and WHM) and proceeded to AoE, gaining hate. I ran back to the party and sat there and watched them get eaten alive by pieste and because they were the only two with hate, the pieste deaggro'd after they were full of DRG/WHM meat. 2 points for me.
Said DRG got me back in early 2.0's AK with the Tank Sacrifice method though. I had gotten all of them to safety into the last boss room but had died outside of Raise range (derp) so I had to run all the way back to die in the proper place. So I'm booking it back to the boss when my friend asks "You almost here?" and like an idiot I say "Almost." This fool triggers the cutscene for the last boss on purpose and freezes me outside with 20 angry mobs on my tail. Needless to say... 1 point for the DRG.
