I don't think anything can compare to the memories and experiences of XI back in its glory days, but I've been playing XIV almost five years now and I could never go back to XI, nor would I want to really after I've been spoiled in Eorzea. I feel the same. I haven't played since 2009 or 2010, but this past summer when I ran around for an hour during the Return to Vana'diel campaign the world felt very sad and empty without my old friends there, or really... anybody, for that matter. I'm happy FFXIV is now everything I could have ever hoped it would be.
