In regards to nunhs leading, on official lore pages (the FF wiki for example) I've found Square Enix to be contradictory. Their naming convention post and wiki page specify that nunhs do not always lead, yet their race page says nunhs typically do. I've considered it safest to think leading or not is a "sometimes" matter because dealing in absolutes on literally fragmented lore is dangerous xD That being said, if you're writing up the lore of your tribe, really just do what you want with that specifically. With how choppy the specifics on the race's lore is, you have little to worry about, and no one should mind too terribly much.
