I named my main's Trajan because I love the name and Trajan was a Roman emperor, one focused on expanding the empire. I play a character with a love of adventuring and seeking out new places so I thought it fit to have her chocobo named that.
Adelina's chocobo... I'll be honest, I did it to be funny. I want to dye it flamingo pink, or as someone pointed out to me the color of cooked shrimp, so as a joke I decided to call it Gumbo. I wouldn't change it for anything now because in some sick way it's kind of funny to have a shrimp colored giant chicken getting fattened up to become... gumbo.
