My advice? Don't bother hunting down Bahamut. The card itself is very overrated and in the time it took many people to acquire it I'd gone off and gathered cards elsewhere from the other NPC's.
Focus on getting thirty unique cards as soon as possible. That'll unlock the ability to have as many two star rated cards in your deck at the same time. After that, focus on defeating thirty of the NPC's - and you'll acquire the Squall Leonhart card which is far superior to Bahamut.
