Izzy isn't fond of the snobbery and elitism either, but something I've noticed irl is that there are a lot of people who manage to be good about the big obvious things, they like to think of themselves as not judgmental... They're not going to go "ugh I hate poor people, such lazy, much dumb" but they might do something like, criticize a way of speaking as being "incorrect" when that way of speaking has ties to a minority class race and/or culture. Or they might offer up suggestions to a problem that a poor or disenfranchised person doesn't have access to (potentially injuring the pride of or angering the person they were trying to help). It seems like someone who grew up in the upper class would have a more difficult time teasing out all the ways that their upbringing colored their perceptions, and the kinds of troubles they might have in their relationships with people who didn't might be fun to play out xD
That makes a lot of sense, and in fact Avis herself is a little like that too. She idealizes herself as progressive and "enlightened" especially because she's mixed around with the underclass quite a bit, but she may not be completely aware of her privilege. It hasn't shown up strongly in any of the IC interactions she's had yet but it's there.
I am also open to PMing for all sorts of plotting and planning - also because my schedule this week looks a little unfriendly. :c
