I've been lurking here a little while, and got onto Balmung after last week's maintenance. I guess it's time to introduce myself.
I've been a roleplayer for... Well longer than I'd like to think about, both in other MMOs and in tabletop in years gone by. I hadn't actively been playing any MMO for a while when I saw a favorable review of this game and its community at How FFXIV Renewed My Love of the MMO. I got my partner and our roommate interested enough to try the free trial, and we all liked it enough to subscribe for at least a few months. I'll let them introduce themselves if they want to, on their own time.
My main, Giroux Sauveterre, is a Duskwight Elezen who was wants to know ALL THE THINGS. I don't mean that he wants to be level capped in every class (that'll be my ooc doing, if I play enough), but rather that he's fascinated by understanding the logical and technical underpinnings of the way the world works. He has no clear idea of what he'd like to do with that knowledge, but he's young yet.
I'd like to find an rp or pve (or both?) FC and/or LS to call home. I'm enjoying group content so far, but at level... 22? I'm at the shallow end of the pool still. If you might like to meet Giroux, or enjoy the fun of a healer queue for baby instances, and you play evenings-ish EST, maybe we can meet up!
