He'd dealt with Kaito a couple of times previously during the date auctions. The Miqo'te knew how to make gil, and Ludovich could respect that. He didn't know the old lady but his presence at the funeral might help his standing. Besides, he knew what it was like to lose a mother. (I should be there as well!)
