I honestly started a new event - the Murder Mystery (Like a parlor murder mystery where you and your friends work out the crime) to take a break from all the relationship-flirting oriented roleplay. But it seems near impossible to break away from the standard that most people want where most people just want social roleplay.
I find this increasingly frustrating as it seems the easiest most successful events to run are 'balls' 'Auctions' where you tell people to show up, they do. People talk. The end.
How is this any different from any other event?
Fundraising
I try not to fundraise in my events, in fact, I like to award participation. I have a fictional currency, I don't mind sharing it for the sake of a fun event.
