The basic idea that Reiner is basing this on is to show parts of their culture most don't get to see. As well as raising money during the event to funnel towards the Ala Mhigan Front in what ever capacity he can.
However, a big thing can be speakers. Especially ones who managed out of there as adults rather than children. Can talk about history, share some stories of culture. While we have so little to work with, we can also infer a lot from it. I know ICly, Domri spends a lot of time educating in his own Mhigan-biased way the events of the past so this could be a more organized time to do something like that.
