Full-body glamours (and gear glamours, really) are a thing I wonder about. On the axis of gameplay-and-story segregation (curse you TVTropes!) I'm of the opinion they're a closer to "this is a thing in a video game." We typically see leves requiring you to dispel glamours focused on killing voidsent, and their magic isn't exactly free to use for most people. Similarly, sylphs are in a class of their own.
Gigas are a new one to me. I didn't realize they were in those glamour leves as well, but they're also the descendants of the Allag (according to some pretty well-reasoned rumors). If they know how to hide themselves, they're certainly not sharing that with the races they wish to destroy.
Now, we also have glamour/dispelling brought up in main story stuff. To wit, you're using the same sort of vanishing powders during the end of the Hildebrand storyline and at the very end of 2.55 there's mention of using glamour to hide the appearance of an entire building. The challenges with that is obviously that Hildebrand scenarios are increeeedibly difficult to take with any real modicum of seriousness and that hiding a building isn't the same as completely faking your appearance and being able to act.
Might full-body glamour exist? Sure. The only real constant we've been given is that as soon as fighting happens (or, to borrow the Dungeons and Dragons form - "complex" actions) your glamour wears off. As always, that's not going to stop anyone from using it anyway. There's no real "permission" in the lore for it and there's no real condemnation for it either. Go with whatever makes the story most interesting.
