I doubt it's a common issue, but I guess you could consider hair loss in an aging individual similar to shedding? ^_^'
I mean, depending on the person, they might lose hair from their head, ears and tail earlier than normal. Stress or lack of nutrition could cause it. Or it could be a condition they're born with that is mildly annoying or inconveniencing. They're not balding yet but their hair falls out easily. So far as the lore goes it's nothing I've seen supported, but it's not hard to imagine.
