I haven't encountered much in the way of witch-hunting and people have still spoken to and rped with me when it's become clear they weren't getting into my chars panties.  For myself, I tend to avoid ERP mainly because I've had far too many bad experiences in the past and find it difficult to say no to things/people. I have no issue with it, it's just not for me.
