As an overview - my decision, head-cannon wise is that there isn't an actual "Sudden" appearance of Au Ra, but rather they've been migrating in since Doma was obliterated, but for the most part have been out-of-sight. By the time Heavensward hits and the influx of Au Ra characters show up OOC, ICly they've been showing for quite a while and are just being more 'noticed' as a sizable number has shown up by this time, especially among adventurers.  These are my top four Characters' reactions. Show Content Lin Celistine "So these... are my people?" Lin has lived her entire life as a Hyur, never knowing her true origins as an Auri. Transmorgified at a very young age by powerful magic. There is an event in which a powerful individual forcefully reverses the spell, causing Lin to face her clouded past. This happens right as the Au Ra began to show up among adventurers in force. So Lin is a fish-out-of-water among a race that is hers, but she's never known.  Show Content Eric Verus "So more have arrived... what resources do we have for them?" A former Garlean Military tactician who's last remaining networks are beginning to die out. Eric internally would feel a measure of sympathy for the people whom were crushed under the heel of a nation he once thought he could change for the better. He may work what contacts he has to assist the relief effort, and his normally cold outward demeanor would likely be a slight measure softer when dealing with them. Show Content Hyrist Verus"Hey welcome! Y'good at holdin' yer liquor?" Hyrist, being a former member of the Garlean Military, often does not let on his past. For him, his past is behind him and his future right in front. The Garlean Empire now gone to a level of extremes that have alienated his more open ideals, he feels that the Doman Auri and he in particular have something to share in which they no longer have a country to return to. He would be his normal outgoing self towards them... which usually means sexual humor, puns, and lots of Alcohol shared. Show Content Tashil Nobolo "Oooh! *Knocks on a horn* Hellooo~ Where are your ears? Where are you from? ... Oh.. mrowl... sorry!" Tas's childlike innocents shines through. She's never seen an Auri before so she will be abundant with blatant questions that come from complete ignorance of contextual awareness - at least until she touches one of their clothes.
