I'm pretty lenient when it comes to plausibility within RP/Lore, etc. Usually if it is something you can explain well, in a thought out manner I'm good with it. However. I think in this case, Padjali are a race that should be left as NPCs.Â
I don't have a problem with them being used as a plot point, or something of a story device. But as a full time PC-character I would have to disagree with. Even if the au ra model was used. Could it be used? Sure, probably. But would I? No.Â
Like many others have said there's a lot of political sway with these characters. It would be sort of like playing a member of the Jedi Council I think. And while using the Council as an NPC plot device is alright, I would never play a council member personally. And I think that in this case it would be very similar-model or not.Â
And if it were an NPC? I personally wouldn't change my character for it. Fantasias aren't something I like to spend money on.
