Snarl nodded a few times, lips pursing in thought at the challenge. A feeling of flight...a daring challenge from the diminutive Lalafell.
He stood himself up slowly, mind racing a few million malms an hour at the idea, his fingers drumming on the cutting board as he considered the request. His ears then perked upright as realization struck. Grinning, he spun around to face the crowd, pointing out and roaring.
"GNOOCCHIIII AFLREEEDOOOOOO!!"
He hurriedly reached into a crate as his dancers dutifully began to ready the serviceware as before. Snarl unearthed several green, leafy herbs and a tube of what looked like a dough. Spinning his knife between his fingers, he rolled the herbs into a tight bundle and began to chiffonade them as he spoke to the crowd.
"Gnocchi...a unique and delightful, pillowy dumpling-like pasta. It practically eats up whatever you put into it..." With that sentence, he began to roll the dough log into the pile of cut herbs. "...and combined with a bright, tangy alfredo cheese sauce, and you, my dear Ququki, will feel like you're eating sunshine and clouds!"
With that, Snarl lifted the herbed log of dough up with the cutting board, and cut it into small cylinders, scraping them into the boiling water. He moved to another small saucepan, stirring together butter, flour and milk until it scalded and thickened, then he grated a rich, pale cheese into the saucepan. With a flourishing sprinkle of pepper into the saucepan, he pulled the gnocchi, plated it and covered it in a generous helping of rich, white Alfredo sauce. The plate looked for all the world like it was holding a puffy fairweather cloud.
The twin dancers brought the plate to Ququki, both kneeling down to present the dish to her.
"Now, eat, my lovely! Eat, and fly through the clouds and into the sun!!"
