There's some benches and such between the Flame's HQ and one of the gates, I think, and I used to park Jajara out there and craft. Sometimes folks would meander by and RP at me, see what I was making and see if I could make anything for them. It's not as noisy as in the Quicksand itself and you might spot folks going from one part of Ul'dah to another.
