I cosplayed... once.
For an Otakon convention for one year. I went as a Left 4 Dead Hunter, and it was quite fun. L4D was still pretty big at the time (L4D2 was either out or about to release), so there was even a photo op group of people in L4D costumes.
Favorite moment was being on the second floor and someone on the first floor pointing me out and screaming "HUNTER!" To which I shrieked and charged for the escalator, down to the first floor, and mock-pounced them. Had a few pictures taken. Good fun.
I just don't go to conventions enough, nor am I "hip" enough on what's popular these days, to really do any more cosplay. Plus I think I'd screw up any costume that wasn't either made for me or horrendously simple - the Hunter outfit was just hoodie, pants, and liberal use of duct tape.
