It DOES make for an interesting RP possibility... Armorers are going to see their armors failing and they are going to start scrambling to come up with ways to create something analogous to the modern bulletproof vest. As someone who RPs crafting that is a really appealing notion. It could also line up really well with the fact that the expansion is most likely bringing us new ores and alloys that we can tinker around with.
