It's been ages since I came here! Not really new, but kind of returning to the rp scene! I had wanted to rp when I first started 14 and it didn't go that far. My server of choice didn't really have the rp scene, and I was too busy with work to do much of it. I then decided to come back and roll an alt to relevel and reboot my main chars rp, but after making a few stories and attempting to play on two servers, it didn't really work out yet again.
THIS TIME! It will work I am sure, mainly because I am making two entirely new characters. (I believe I failed last time because I was attempting to re-play the same character/class/job again).
I've got an idea floating around my head involving a Raen female and a Xaela female. They will have opposing viewpoints and ideals, total contrast of views. But a series of unfortunate events will see them stuck together.
I would love some feed back on names and wot not.
First off is my Raen; Asami no Kume, which I believe roughly means Morning Beauty of Sevenfold Vision. I may shorten it to just Asami Kume.
She is the chieftains daughter of a small village who has a gift for healing. As a child she would at times show a skill of clairvoyance, gazing at the stars and then informing her father of something that would happen in the near future (as you can tell, I'm setting her up for astrologist, but starting her off as a white mage).
She grew up sheltered from the harsh realities of the world and knows little of the difficulties one might face. She suffers from severe wanderlust and desperately wants to venture to the outside world. She can be said to wear rose tinted glasses because she only knows the world from the books she has read speaking of fanciful and wonderful things.
After one night of star gazing, she saw an omen of a Xaela tribe being attacked by metal monsters. After informing her father and asking him to intervene, she was told they would not help. Not wanting to have her dreadful vision come to pass, she forces her childhood friend to venture with her to try and warn the tribe of what will come to pass. Deep down however, her selfishness calls out to her that this is her chance to finally go out and explore the world.
Next up is my Xaela; Temur'Checheg Borlaaq, her name meaning Iron Flower.
She is headstrong and quick to action, often not thinking before she acts and quick to become upset and show her temper. Her temper and attitude has led her to picking up the axe as her weapon of choice. Her tribe of Borlaaq see her as one of their strongest warriors even though she is still fairly young, but they do not openly admit this or give her praise because of her rashness and inability to see when it is time to attack and time to withdraw.
The tribe often sends her out on hunts, killing two birds with one stone. First, they let her expend all her energy and allow her to do what she does best, and it two, it gets a headache out of their way for a few days.
Without going into too much detail, Temur's clan is the one in Asami's vision. You might be able to see where it is all going, and if you do, SHHH don't spoil it! I'm setting Temur up to go from Warrior, to Dark Knight eventually.
While I'll be writing a story seperate from others for these two, I'd love to have them meet and interact with others so that I can write more stories as a more open story line. Essentially writing two parallel stories, sort of ((if I can manage it))
None of this is really written in stone, since I haven't really fleshed out the details of it so it's subject to change as the ideas get more worked out.
I would love for any thoughts and feedback/ critiques anyone might have in regard to their names or backgrounds!
I also plan on attempting to roll these characters on Balmung! It seems I have a few friends that play on that server so that will be new home.
