It is possible but I doubt it as in both ff3Â the Warrirors of Darkness are not evil, just the other side of Light. Hell ff4 even had Crystal of Darkness in the underground world. I don't think Light and darkness are going to become the more western view of good and evil most think of it as.
Balance has been important in a few Final Fantasies but it rarely the focus. I know 3 cared about the balance betwen Light and Darkenss and 6 has the balance between the Warring Triad to stop the world from tearing its self apart.
