There were a couple threads (probably more) about "what do you like of RP", they just tend to die quicker because well... it's a scientific fact that humans find negativity/complaints more amusing than happy/good things. It's why comedians like George Carlin existed and had success, it's why satire exists, it's why when you walk out of your home you will hear more people complaining about the shitty weather or politics than you'll hear people saying it's a very good day or how happy they are. There is nothing bad about it, it's just more entertaining.
(Also fun fact: venting/complaining/ranting/criticizing lenghtens your life span! Scientists say that it is a way to reduce stress on the brain and body, reducing occurrences of violence, rage, and stress-induced deterioration of the system! Stay cynical, stay healthy!)
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
