It's her lot in life and she tells herself it's just something she has to put up with. And if she spent her nights thinking too long on these things, well, they'd be a lot longer than they already are...
... but sometimes they still stick real hard, like an old ache in her bones. There are people she's hurt that didn't actually deserve any of it. But it's too late to fix that now, isn't it? Of course it is.
