The Monk trainer does indeed wear the gear but there's absolutely zero mention of it being a traditional sect uniform. In fact, the opposing sect in the 50-60 monk questline all wear dyed versions of the AF1 set. Edit to add: There is actually zero mention of his gear at all. He's just simply wearing it. Kate Lander
