Two of my three active rp characters can use aetherytes for traveling, but both characters aren't as good as one another with it. My miqo'te alt is able to go farther, but less often, where as Nailah does well with shorter distances and she will recover from them faster. I follow the lore that the lore team has given on it. However in most cases, I prefer not using them at all, in favor of getting the walk/talk RP in as well - which can be really fun and enriching, and it contributes to a sense of the world feeling bigger to me. Most of the times where I end up using the aetherytes icly, it's because it's getting late/time is running out oocly.Â
I generally do not take well to people who just teleport in front of my eyes in RP, which is also why I make a point out of making sure people who are IC around me can't see me when I do an OOC teleport after ended RP.
