C'lai Tia looks around, searching for his company. He tugged uncomfortable at the tabard... It was too tight, and itchy... He would give anything to take it off. His eyes set on Kasaris: "Wherrre arrre the otherrrs?" - he asks with a low growl from the tabard, one of his ears tilting to the side, the other flicking repeatedly.
Kasaris Rakhin: "It's weird not seeing yer belly button."
C'lai Tia: "I know rrrright...? This... thing... Grrr..."
Granamyr Artanis brushes off a bit of dust as he sighs softly. "Never a dull moment."
Kasaris Rakhin shrugs here, not seeming to be particularly concerned by the lack of her fellow Habringers. "Eh, I'm sure they'll pop up. The queen and the lieutenant ain't comin', so I guess we're kinda wingin' it at the moment."
C'lai Tia then catches the oh so familiar scent of Lilia. His eye twitches as his ears fold back, gazing about searchingly: "No, she's definitely herrre..."
C'lai Tia: "Somewherrre..."
Granamyr Artanis looks at C'lai and Kasaris "Where's everyone else at? We can't be he only ones here, or are we?" he asked glancing around.
Kasaris Rakhin: "Eh? I don't see her." She stands on her toes, glancing around. She nods to Granamyr. "For guards, yeah, so far we are. The others are here as pilgrims."
C'lai Tia: "I have that little terrorrr's scent. She can't be farrr..."
Granamyr Artanis: "Looks like we have our work cut out for us then." he said calmly.
C'lai Tia then turns his head, finally pinpointing where the scent came from: "Therrre."
C'lai Tia points at Lilia Lia.
Kasaris Rakhin: "Ah, I meant the martial lieutenant. The cat one. The one with the sense in her head."
C'lai Tia looks at Granamyr: "Shall we join ourrr crrrafterrs then...?" - then at the Lalafel, then at the Au ra, questioningly. His ears giving a flick.
Blake Forester looks around. From the uniforms he'd assumed this was the place. He looked from C'lai then Granamyr. He nods to C'lai.
C'lai Tia 's eyes set then on Jadoth, wiggling his ears with a smile. For those that knew C'lai, he looked actually tired... such an uncharacteristic thing.
Kasaris Rakhin shrugs. "Ya lot go ahead. I'm gonna keep a watch out for anyone comin' in late."
Jadoth Bloodreign looks around, his ears perking. He gives C'lai a smile that falters slightly. "Oh, so this is where everyone is!"
Granamyr Artanis nods his head to Jadoth and Blake, before looking back at C'lai. "That's a sound plan to me. Might as well get to our positions."
C'lai Tia: "Let's get to it then..."
Blake Forester perks an eyebrow in Jadoth's direction. "Fancy meeting you here."
Jancis Milburga: "Welcome Pilgrims! I am beyond honored to welcome you here on behalf of all those who follow the Builder."
C'lai Tia looks around.

Cyneler Fenrir: Ahem.
Cyneler Fenrir: umm excuse me miss Janis
Jancis Milburga: "Yes?"
Cyneler Fenrir: oh right I would like to offer my services as a guard if you don't mind.
Jancis Milburga: "You are welcome to keep your sword and an eye out as always. Very grateful to have you along. But please, enjoy the celebration as well."
Cyneler Fenrir: oh okay I Â will miss Jancis.
Jancis Milburga: "Thank you"
Cyneler Fenrir takes his hat off

Coatleque Crofte bows her head to Cyneler.
Cyneler Fenrir: still its good to see ya.
Coatleque Crofte: "Yes. Â Good to see you in one piece."
Cyneler Fenrir: umm ill be right back I have to go change out of these hot clothes.
Coatleque Crofte: "... hot clothes?"
Jancis Milburga: "Hm?"
Jancis Milburga: "Ah... they do look warm?"
Coatleque Crofte: "Oh, right. Â Warm."
Jancis Milburga: "Those are not as warm?"
Cyneler Fenrir: ahh much better
Cyneler Fenrir leans  on the railing  at sees what at the distance

Jana Ridah speaks up, though her voice is somewhat muffled by her protective face mask. "Miss Jancis, I'm here to help the guard group, if it's needed."
Jancis Milburga smiles over at Jana, "Thank you, Lady, it is most appreciated. Shall surely be a comforting night."
Jana Ridah shifts her attention to the familiar figure of Coat instead. "Ser Crofte, are you also here as a guard...?"
Coatleque Crofte: "Aye, as always."
Coatleque Crofte: "What is this, number sixteen?"
Jana Ridah: Then... I'll be under your command again tonight, even if just for a short walk's duration.
Coatleque Crofte: "Oh, I am not here to command anything, simply lending my aid."
Jancis Milburga: "Welcome Pilgrims! I am beyond honored to welcome you here on behalf of all those who follow the Builder."
Kepolo Kana admires the purple dress before her.
Kepolo Kana examines the canvas thoughtfully, humming softly to herself as she thinks.
Kepolo Kana picks up a brush and dips it into a pot of lavender paint, looking at the canvas she thinks about what to draw. Raising her hand up she taps the brush against her chin, leaving a purplish smear.
Kepolo Kana steps up to the canvas and draws a picture of a lavender colored carbuncle reading a blue book. Grinning she puts the blue and lavender brushes back and itches her nose, adding a blue streak to her face.
Jana Ridah: ...You.
Oscare Iono: "... yes?"
Kepolo Kana looks at the stranger with the wolf's  head hood curiously.
Oscare Iono: "Do you need something, girlie?"
Kepolo Kana: "That is an interesting hat you wear ser."
Oscare Iono: "Okay?"
Kepolo Kana: "Did you ...make it yourself?"
Oscare Iono: "Yes."
Kepolo Kana: "It's very nice."
Jana Ridah: ...Greetings, Captain.
Oscare Iono just glares ferociously at the rain for no reason, only adding more to the beastly look. "Thanks," he says, but doesn't really sounds like he means it.
Kepolo Kana: "Are you going to draw on the canvas too?"
Oscare Iono: "What?"
Kepolo Kana gestures behind her at the large canvas. "The canvas! I drew a carbuncle." She grins at the dark skinned man.
Kepolo Kana: "I missed a bunch too."
Kepolo Kana pouts.
Oscare Iono: "I should at least go and do something at the canvas."
Jana Ridah huffs a bit as she jogs up the rock. "They were good words."
Oscare Iono trots on over to the rock, hoping up to Jana's level in a single, big hop. "Whoops, sorry," a quick apology given to the miqo'te girl for nearly stepping on her.
Jana Ridah: Guess it was nothing...?
Jana Ridah glances between Franz and Edda, but opts not to interrupt.
Angora Khilo turns and stares at Jana for a moment before quickly making her way out of the area. Sooner she was away from all the Morbols, the better.
Jana Ridah seems to be hiding behind the taller men just a bit, but still returns a small nod to Jancis. "Um, nothing really happened. Guarding-wise."
Jancis Milburga looks over at Jana, "Forgive me. I cannot thank you enough for simply bringing a calm with your presence. You are free to go if you wish. Or talk with the others we should be safe going forward."
Jana Ridah: I'm just... Hanging around. Figured out something to draw. I'll be handy until the crowd dissipates.
Jancis Milburga: "All right. Thank you. There are so many colors on it. Ah, which one is yours may I ask?"
Jana Ridah: Um... I drew a round knife on one corner, and a ritual dagger on the other... They're blue. Hopefully they're out of the way enough for everyone else.
Jancis Milburga regards Jana quietly, "I doubt anything you could do would be in the way. Forgive me."
Jana Ridah: Ah- um. I'm not really... A "maker" of things. As um, you sort of know... All I do is maim. But I once used... A knife and a ritual to heal someone.
Jana Ridah: Maybe I'll have a chance to do so again.
Jancis Milburga: "I think you continue to get better at it. That makes it a type of craft. At least allows others to. Do you agree Oscare?"
Jancis Milburga looks from Jana to Oscare at the question, "About fighting as a craft."
Jana Ridah shifts around uneasily, glancing up at the taller man.
Oscare Iono: "Fighting is definitely it's own kind of craft and magic, yeah. It takes practice just like anything else, and not everyone can do it. And it's a very practical skill, too."
Oscare Iono reassures this statement with a nod, looking at Jana with that ferocious beastly glare. "What exactly are you doing?"
Jana Ridah: Um... Guarding. Or did you mean in relation to combat?
Oscare Iono: "Combat."
Jana Ridah: I do... A lot of things. I train my body with weapons, I train my mind with arcanima... But I don't seem to get anywhere.
Jana Ridah: I feel myself getting stronger, but my goals are always out of reach.
Oscare Iono: "Ain't that the truth to everyone, though?"
Oscare Iono looks to Jancis for confirmation.
Jancis Milburga smiles up at Oscare and nods, "Only goals worth reaching for, less there is not need to stretch."
Jana Ridah: Perhaps. Makes it no less frustrating, especially when I see those I've hurt along the way... And for nothing really, in the end.
Jancis Milburga gazes at Jana quietly, setting her lips for a minute.
Jana Ridah simply closes her eyes and give Jancis a small bow of her head.
Jancis Milburga: "I think the intention behind those actions should stand out more. All three of us know that well together."
Oscare Iono: "What you want will always be out of reach. That's why you keep fighting for it everyday, yeah?"
Jancis Milburga looks up at Oscare, her gaze more reflective than seeing him as he was presently.
Jana Ridah: Perhaps. Even if I can never get it, I shouldn't slack off. To try and wrench something worthwhile from it all.
Oscare Iono: "Precisely!"
Jancis Milburga frowns thoughtfully, "When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, do not adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.... at least that is what I have read before."
John Waterstrike quietly slips over to the other side, the camera hanging from a strap at his side.  He fish around in his pack, pulling out the box, the paper wrapping is decorated with scrolls and open hands.  He waits for Jancis to have a moment free  to give her the gift.  "I hope Mom's right about chocolates being a good gift to give, Kit."
Jana Ridah: Maybe that's all I can do in the end. But it's something.
Jancis Milburga: "Master John, you came. It is good to see you."
Barengar Armsbreaker grunted quietly to himself as Jancis gave her advice to Jana, "Ain't anythin' ya can do be keep doin' what ya think ya oughta."
Jancis Milburga looks between Jana and Oscare. "For my part. I think it has made a big difference."
Oscare Iono snaps a look at Jancis, tapping his chin in thought again. Something about 'adjusting the actions' snaps something into him... but doesn't say anything about it.
John Waterstrike attention is caught a Jancis waves to him. Â He slowly comes over to her.
Oscare Iono: "Right."
Jana Ridah doesn't show much with her face hidden behind her mask, but she gives Jancis a small nod.
Jancis Milburga returns the bow to John. "I am glad to see you. Forgive me the other sevenday I did not get a chance to greet you. Were over two score of combatants to attend to."
Oscare Iono: "That's food for the thought..."
Oscare Iono: "Anyroad, I had fun in my short time here. Thank you Jancis."
Jancis Milburga: "Travel safely, yes, Oscare?"
Jana Ridah: All we can do is move forward, one foot in front of the other... Whether or not I can hold my head up is meaningless if I can at least do that.
Oscare Iono faces Jana, shooting a stare right at her. "I'm Oscare by the way."
Jana Ridah: I- I know. I'm Jana. Um...
John Waterstrike bows to her. Â "I...am glad I made it in time," he said, letting a sad smile pull at his lips. Â "I...understand." Â He holds out the box to her. Â "A gift, one that I fear was rush to get made."
Barengar Armsbreaker listens to the conclusion that Jana comes to, another low grunt escaping the man as he bobs his head to side silently.
Jancis Milburga repeats, "A gift." and takes the box with both hands. "May I look inside?"
Oscare Iono: "You knew? Have we met before?"
Jana Ridah lowers her voice. "I've know your name for a long time, as the one who shot Natalie. Its meaningless now, but... It was good to at least speak a bit."
Oscare Iono: "-- /Oh/."
Oscare Iono: "I'm just... ya know, gonna go now. Have a good evening."
John Waterstrike inside the box is 11 chocolates. Â All either the symbol of the scroll or the hand except for the one that has both.
Jana Ridah gives Oscare a small nod.
Jancis Milburga looks in awe at the little chocolates, the sweet aroma wafting out to assault her face. "Did you make these?" She looks back up at John.
Jana Ridah holds back the urge to address the young man, simply waiting near Jancis.
Barengar Armsbreaker tracks Oscare quietly as he makes his exit from upon the stone, the highlander's gaze shifting briefly back to Jana for a moment before simply shaking his head.
John Waterstrike watches for a moment once Jancis takes the box. Â "I did."
Jancis Milburga: "Byregot's Blessing! These are wonderful, I am overwhelmed."
Jancis Milburga beams over at Jana, taking out one of the little chocolates. "Look, they even have the Builder's mark upon them."
John Waterstrike blush a bit. Â "It was Mom..." a knot catches in his throat. Â "It was Mom suggestion."
Jana Ridah is taken aback slightly, losing some of her bluster. "Ah- Um, that's cute..."
Jancis Milburga: "Would you like it? Let us all try one."
John Waterstrike: "As I was at a loss to what to bring to you."
Jancis Milburga: "I think something you crafted is very fitting for the occasion. And they are sweet. Will go very well with fruit. Thank you."
John Waterstrike ducks his head. Â "It is the least I could do. Â You put so much work into these event."
Jancis Milburga: "Really happy to stand here and introduce people who share their visions and experiences. And it is nice when you or your kin make it."
Jancis Milburga gives John a thoughtful look, "Is everything well? I heard a few words but with so many wounds I could hardly come over and check upon you."
John Waterstrike place his hand on the camera at his side. Â "It...it may be a while before Sir Howl can forgive me for how I spoke to him...and more before I feel I can forgive myself."
Jana Ridah chooses this moment to butt in!
Jana Ridah bluntly pokes the young man in the head. "You, hick healer. Will you be at the Grindstone tonight?"
Jancis Milburga looks up and Jana and repeats, 'hick healer' quietly.
Barengar Armsbreaker blinks slightly and glances between Jana and John with a lifted brow.
John Waterstrike glance up at Jana, then ducks his head. Â "I...will be there..." Â He feels that he deserve the name at the moment.
Jana Ridah: Good! Bring your tome and potions and anything else you've been using so far. I aim to give you a proper lesson in Arcanima! I'll not suffer anyone who uses their own life-aether to heal others taking the name of "Arcanist."
Barengar Armsbreaker snorts slightly as Jana rather firmly commands John, looking relatively amused.
John Waterstrike head shoots up at Jana, blinking in surprise. Â "You...you will..." Â For a moment, even the iciness that has been bothering his left arm is forgotten at Jana's word. Â "Thank you."
Jana Ridah: I do not know -why- none have tried to teach you from the beginning, but it would solve many of your present issues to learn proper usage of aether, yes? I expect you to be ready for a harsh lesson!
Jana Ridah 's voice grows a bit shrill towards the end of her small rant.
Barengar Armsbreaker scratches at the side of his head, listening to Jana's rant with a slightly uncertain look. Maybe this was why he felt so uneasy about magicks. The practitioners were all so ... animated.
John Waterstrike ears laid flat at the shrill. Â "I will do what it takes to earn my place back at the Grindstone...so long as I never have to be beholden to the elementals in order to heal."
Jana Ridah: Hah!
Jana Ridah: The Elementals can suck my-
Jana Ridah: I- I mean.
Barengar Armsbreaker snorts
Barengar Armsbreaker: "Bold of ya."
Jana Ridah: I mean, a properly-trained Arcanist can use their own sustainable aether while drawing in what is around them. No need to bother with fellat- Um, pleasing the Elementals.
Jancis Milburga frowns, looking about distracted. "Air is picking up..." She glances over at Jana, "Byregot Forbid the earth start rumbling."
Barengar Armsbreaker snorts once more, amused.
Jana Ridah nervously tries to put Jancis out of mind, at least long enough to make her point to John.
John Waterstrike smile grows a little. Â "I agree with you, Lady Jana." Â Flicks a look at Kit. Â "I thought I had been doing so until Mom..." his voice almost catches again, "told me that I was burning my aether and not using the elements to make up for it..."
Jana Ridah: We are not Conjurers, but even they do not expend their life force to heal. I am sure miss Jancis would know about that, good healer that she is. But as an Arcanist, our methods are wholly different.
John Waterstrike thinks on Jana's words. Â "Then I shall meet you at the stone in a bell." Â Kit coon up at him. Â "I need to first check and see how Mom's health is before then."
Jana Ridah: It need not be in a bell, I've my own preparations to make. But I will do my best to be there to impart some wisdom before the Grindstone begins.
Barengar Armsbreaker shifts his gaze vaguely in the direction of Gareth and Jancis for a moment at the mention of a manor, a low hum rumbling in his chest before he returns to listening to conversation between the two arcanists.
Jana Ridah: Come prepared to heal and hurt, but bring paper and a quill if you can as well.
John Waterstrike: "I will see you then. Â Save travel, Lady Jana."
Jana Ridah: Safe travels to you as well.
![[Image: 7BGVwxY.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/7BGVwxY.jpg)
John Waterstrike turns to Jancis. Â "Lady Jancis, if I could have a moment of your time?"
Jancis Milburga looks over at John, looking attentive, "Yes of course."
Jana Ridah gives Jancis another small bow of her head. She'd try to apologize later...
John Waterstrike pats the camera at his side. Â "I wish to get a picture of you by the Builder's own sign. Â Since I can't share my memories they way that...I can see others, I think I can share them this way."
John Waterstrike steps back and works with the knobs, he brings the camera up and quickly takes the picture.
John Waterstrike: "Thank you, Lady Jancis."
Jancis Milburga looks at John curiously, clearly not picking it all up. "You are welcome." She says nonetheless.
Barengar Armsbreaker rolls his right shoulder back as he watches John use the unfamiliar device to do ... something, head tilted to the side slightly before glancing over to Jancis as she steps down and away. He dips his head toward her.
Jancis Milburga smiles lightly and comes back over. "Everything worked out well. Thank you again for being so attentive."
Jana Ridah slooowly approaches Jancis. "Sorry you had to hear that outburst... I had to impress upon the young man that what he was doing was neither acceptable nor necessary. Wasn't my intent to blaspheme so loudly..."
Barengar Armsbreaker grunted quietly as he listens to Jana's apology, head bobbing to the side, "Don't figure earth's openin' up below us just yet."
Jana Ridah: Only because the Elementals're so weak from the Calamity. Used to be you couldn't light a match near a tree before you'd be going green in some parts of the wood...
Barengar Armsbreaker pressed his lips into a thin line, silently tipping his head toward the woman in concession. He was not terribly familiar with the history of the forest.
Jancis Milburga nods in agreement, "It is okay. Forgive me I did not hear what Master John had been up to; looks like I missed what you were actually saying."
Jancis Milburga looks over at Barengar, eyes steady as she regards him, "Shall tell you more about the wood wrath another time, if you wish."
Jana Ridah: I know not why he doesn't want to use conjury, but my relationship with the forest Elementals isn't so good either, so I can hardly blame him.
Barengar Armsbreaker flicks his gaze over to Jancis as he makes her offer, his head tipping to the side slightly. "Figured I was the one hired fer tellin' stories." he grumbled quietly before it was followed by a quiet, amused snort.
Jancis Milburga: "It might be about touching people. Not that he would have to... it is just more tactile than writing in a book and visualizing."
Jana Ridah: Perhaps, though he did specifically mention the Elementals. Perhaps he's witness the Greenwrath? ...I suppose it matters little now.
Jancis Milburga blinks at Barengar before smiling in good humor, eyes squinting.
Jana Ridah: I could tell a story too, but I don't think it'd be a very good one.
Barengar Armsbreaker lifts his brow slightly as he glances back to Jana, "That so?"
Jana Ridah: A story about making things... One I read when I was studying in Limsa Lominsa.
Barengar Armsbreaker dips his head to the side, "Seems ta me that a lot of 'em do."
Jana Ridah: Perhaps... An impromptu storytelling? It's like to get me scolded by miss Jancis though.
Barengar Armsbreaker hummed quietly, glancing over at Jancis for a moment before looking back to Jana, "Something' ya manage often?"
Jana Ridah: Well... Something that happens at least once every time I make it to one of these Twelve things. I'm not the most... Observant of the faith.
Jana Ridah: Often... More than once.
Barengar Armsbreaker grunted and bobbed his head to the side slightly once again, "Suppose yer hear on  work  then?"
Jana Ridah: Partially. I volunteered myself to miss Jancis, rather than being chosen.
Jancis Milburga looks over at Jana, "Very selfless of you."
Jana Ridah: It's the least I could do.
Barengar Armsbreaker murmured to himself a moment before nodding, "Suppose ya've got yer priorities."
Jana Ridah: I don't know that miss Jancis would agree, but I do feel I owe a personal debt. In any case, it's a fine time to meet new people and see old friends, so I am quite content.
Jancis Milburga breaks from her gaze at Asmodean and his little bundle of joy, looking back over at Jana.
Barengar Armsbreaker bobs his head low in Jana's direction, seeming to take a cue from her words, "Barengar Armsbreaker, then"
Jana Ridah nods back. "Jana Ridah. Well met, sir."
Barengar Armsbreaker grunts in acknowledgement, "Good ta meet ya, I figure."
Jana Ridah: I typically keep to myself in Ul'dah, plenty to do there... But even if I don't like it in Gridania, there's plenty of nice places outside of it.
Barengar Armsbreaker allows his gaze to wander toward the grip of the large blade that rested upon Jana's back. He found it quite peculiar, an assumed arcanist walking about with a great blade. He would not pry however, simply tipping his head to the side, "'Tend ta find myself travelin' more than I ain't."
Jana Ridah: Travelling is a great pastime. Not too long ago, I was proud of my status as adventurer, wandering and fighting and maiming as I pleased. Some unpleasant business later, I find myself staying put. Doesn't mean I don't still train with everything I can get my hands on, though.
Jana Ridah waggles a shoulder, the great sword on her back shaking a bit.
Barengar Armsbreaker bobs his head to the side as he listens to the woman, "Just followin' the work fer my part. Ain't much use fer glory." he lifts a hand and scratches at the bridge of his nose, grunting, "Glory ain't much of a meal."
Jana Ridah: True. More important to make sure your next meal isn't Imaginary Flatbread.
Barengar Armsbreaker snorts whilst stifling a single chuckle, head tipping in concession, "Figure that's close enough ta the case."
Jana Ridah: How did you come into working with miss Jancis, by the way? I heard what you said during the event proper, but... I am curious.
Barengar Armsbreaker lifted his chin slightly at the question, a low hum rumbling in his chest. He glances over his shoulder, toward Jancis below, briefly before leading his attention back toward Jana. "Ripped up my shoulder. Someone called fer her ta fix me up."
Jana Ridah: Ah, of course. She's an accomplished healer. Been fixed up by her once myself.
Barengar Armsbreaker nodded, "Sure is." he agreed before continuing, "Picked me up on a contract in the same visit. Fer one reason or another." he seemed to grumble the last part quietly.
Jana Ridah can tell there's more to it, but doesn't pry. "Miss Jancis and I have been through a few battles together. I'm happy to help her out for free."
Jana Ridah waves!
Barengar Armsbreaker hummed, pressing his lips into a thin line, "I'm startin' ta see that trend."
Jana Ridah: Miss Jancis can rely on her friends. Cant' say I know all of them, but... Miss Crofte and seer Chachanji are among them. All I know to be good people.
Barengar Armsbreaker lifts a hand, scratching at the stubble upon his face before grunting his understanding, "Seems ta be she's well surrounded by 'em ta be sure." a slow nod follows, "Done plenty right by me."
Jana Ridah: Ah, I see. It was good fortune that you got to take your break this far from the north, and it was good to meet you, in any case.
Barengar Armsbreaker tips his head to the side slightly, a subtle quirk to his brow at the mention of the north but otherwise pays no heed. He gives a deep bow of his head, "Figure the same ta ya."
Jana Ridah: Everyone still here seems to be well-armed and capable, so I think it's time I took my leave. I've a few things to get done before I go to the Grindstone. Well met, everyone.
Barengar Armsbreaker nods, "Be seein' ya around, I figure."
Jancis Milburga: "Thank you for being here, Jana."
Jana Ridah: Until next time.
