"Lady, you are never one to be lost for words. Pray share some of your insight with us now."
"Certainly." Ciel Sauveterre comes up in front of the crowd, bowing. "Hello again, my friends."

"Mayhap it seems peculiar that one such as myself - who enjoys peace and prefers to bring cheer and hope to those who need it - ought to be here speaking fondly of the Destroyer."
Ciel raises a hand, "As a bard, I mean not to romanticize destruction but to again offer some perspective on Rhalgr's purpose as one who considers all of the Twelve with fondness. This perspective may be considered mild compared to tales already told, but He has intervened in mine own life, as He has with all of you."
"His work is most often recognized as bold. Â One cannot deny the brutality of war, the chaos wrought by Primals and other forces upon the land and the lives which dwell thereupon, and in this way His presence is the most obvious and immediately felt. Â 'Tis easy to forget the truth and overlook what occurs before us every sun."
"Without destruction, nothing would change."
"We know change is normal, and constant. Â Everything ends, the weather shifts and a bright, sunlit morn is ruined by the rising of a summer thunderstorm. Â But this, too, has its purpose and it does eventually end. Â In this way, we know destruction is consistent and yet it still manages to surprise us when we least expect it."
"We go through life thinking we have a plan for everything, we know where we are going, yet there are times when we have to change our plans or take a different road when something unforeseen crosses our way. Â And sometimes we drift until we have no choice but to stand still and acknowledge what impedes us, and then destruction becomes our own tool with which to remove said obstacle."
"Rhalgr places His power in our hands, and Nymeia leaves it up to us to determine what fate will be wrought of our actions -with- that power. It changes us as we change the world and lives around us."

"Of course, there is just cause to fear Rhalgr but also to embrace Him, for without Him Byregot would lack materials to work with. Â You have to destroy a tree to create firewood, and that firewood is burned to keep a hearth going. You must overturn packed soil and fold in the ashes from the hearth to sow and nurture crops. You have to take the produce from those crops and cut them into pieces, and slay a buffalo from your herd to get meat to make a stew."
"Destruction and creation are, in and of themselves, a tenet of alchemy... a fundamental rule of exchange: Nothing is gained without sacrifice."
"On a more personal level... one might sacrifice the freedom of wandering for the anchor of home. Â A wanderer like me may say that all the world is home, not realizing something could ever happen to redefine what home means. Sometimes we don't realize just how lonely our chosen path is until we have someone standing beside us, come to us like a levinbolt out of the blue. Â Our loneliness is thus destroyed, and a different future is crafted."
"This leaf has spent many cycles blowing in the wind only to be swept up in someone else's storm for a while, and then caught and held between the pages of a tome yet to be writ in full. Â The point is... whether we expect it or not, everything changes. What we thought we knew, what we thought we understood, is destroyed and a new path is revealed in its place. Â This is the truth of His purpose. We should never fear what Rhalgr is trying to teach us."
Ciel bows. "Thank you, Lady Ciel!" Chachanji watches Ciel leave, the first actual focused action of the afternoon. Brynhilde comments, "There's a lass who understands."
