Glacir Clayworth1: What’s your OC’s biggest insecurity and how would they react if someone pointed it out to them?
Glacir always worries he doesn't know enough when entering new situation. If pointed out he worries too much or relies too much on knowledge instead of instinct, he'll often freeze up for a moment before easing up.

Most likely he'd disassemble it to figure out it's inner workings, attempt to repair it, and fail miserably at that step. (this is actually how I intend to explain IC my OOC use of Machinist if it ever comes up)

For the most part Glacir acts the same around everyone: Quiet, studious, serious, but willing to listen and share his thoughts. However, among those he grows closest to he will open up more and can become a bit of a goof.
[b]4:Â Would your OC want to involve themselves in humanitarian work ? If yes, then for what? If not, then why not?[/b]
Glacir views his research as humanitarian work, in that he refuses to hide or hoard the knowledge he has, and will gladly share it with any interested party. As for actual charity work or donating to causes, he would do so only if it was of interest to his current research goals. Not that he is cold or uncaring, but more that he focuses and prioritizes.
[b]5:Â How would your OC generally react to someone being verbally abusive towards them for no apparent reason?
[/b]Ignore them and leave their presence. If that option is unavailable or they persist, a well-placed spell would hopefully deter further harassment.

Indeed he does, though at times he does overestimate his ability to put said intelligence into practical use. I.E. He knows quite a bit about Conjury, but has a hard time casting higher level spells in that school of magic.

Wearing heavy armor. Seeing it does nothing, but wearing heavy plate or chain armor has him feel claustrophobic almost instantly.
[b]8: How is/was your OC’s relationship with their parents?[/b]
Early on, he and his parents got along great. It wasn't until the Calamity and the fact his parents and the trading ship they were a part of decided to avoid Eorzea completely that he began to grow distant from them, wanting nothing more than to research and offer aid to the broken and altered region.
[b]9:Â Does your OC feel a pressure to achieve or are they content and calm with doing what they can at the moment?[/b]
It's less 'pressure' and more 'desire'. He acknowledges his shortcomings, but always strives to research ways to eliminate or improve upon them.

Glacir hides his emotions with logical thought and reasoning. He buries himself in research rather than outright face tougher emotions, but he will open up if approached about them.

Glacir wouldn't react violently or anything. He'd be shocked and confused, but after some time would accept it and move on.
[b]12:Â What is one of the most primary things your OC feels that is missing from their life?[/b]
A use for his knowledge.

Ones where he has no information or knowledge of how things should be or will proceed.

Once again, logic dictates the result. If Glacir can see his errors, he will approach his friend first, otherwise he will wait.

Yes he does, but he will acknowledge mistakes he's made that might make him seem otherwise.

Yes he is, he will listen to any and all concerns or feelings, weigh them against past experiences and knowledge, and offer his advice or opinions in return, but never in a manner that forces others to do as he suggests.

Aside from becoming over-focused on research and knowledge, none that would be apparent to most.

Again, his knowledge and research that he sees as a gift to be shared with any and everyone who asks. He's also rather proud of his practical skills in Arcanism and Astrology.

Validation, when his research succeeds, or when he find a new topic to research.

Often? Not really. But when he does it's usually when he's too focused on research and lets a blunt observation slip.

Not often, only when provoked.

Glacir tends to hide all his emotions, so he is rather reserved until such time as his romantic/affectionate side is drawn to the surface by his partner's own actions.

Again, mostly his emotions. He will open up gradually, but usually he comes off as the silent, studious type who only speaks when addressed or he has something important to say.

Depending on the degree, he would either snap back at the person or simply leave the area for a time.

Glacir would go through the usual grieving process and ceremonies, followed by weeks or months of avoiding others, devoting himself to his work with often little results.

Discovering a way to continue studies that require soul crystals or other access to ancient knowledge to proceed.

Coming from a family of traders and sailors he often escapes into various drinks when things are going particularly south.

Let's see...by high school age he'd have learned some spells so a swift Ruin to the 'nads.

Glacir would most likely try to flee or avoid the conflict, but if forced into it, he'd stand ready while formulating plans to emerge victorious.
